MK Clayton is a family law attorney representing clients in a wide range of domestic relations matters throughout the Chicago area. They provide strategic and compassionate counsel in cases involving divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, assisted reproductive technology, adoptions, and LGBTQ+ family law matters.
Known for a thoughtful and client-centered approach honed through their previous career as a social worker, MK works closely with clients to navigate emotionally and financially significant legal issues with clarity, professionalism, and strong advocacy. They are committed to achieving practical, effective solutions both inside and outside the courtroom.
MK earned their Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law and was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in November 2024. Prior to joining The Law Office of Erin M. Wilson, LLC, MK worked as an associate attorney at a boutique family law firm, where they gained experience in complex divorce, parentage, and adoption matters.
MK is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and The Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago. In their spare time, MK enjoys watching women’s sports, reading, and trying new restaurants. MK lives in Uptown with their fiancée.
