Benefits of a Team Approach

The Law Office of Erin M. Wilson LLC knows and understands that family is the most important aspect of your life. Sometimes though, there can be challenges regarding family life in unexpected ways. Our office is here to give clients our full attention, responsiveness, availability, and cost-effectiveness. We can achieve this exceptional service through our team-based approach.

Our team-based approach focuses on collaboration and teamwork, where often, a partner, an associate attorney, a law clerk, and a paralegal will help collaborate on your case to ensure it reaches resolution. Our team strives to reach amicable solutions for families and advocates for our clients through high-conflict proceedings. Each person on our team brings diverse skills, knowledge, and perspectives to the table during all stages of your case. Our team focuses on the big picture and devising a strategy to help you reach your goals.

At the forefront, our team approach allows our firm to provide specialized service by leveraging each attorney’s unique strengths. Enabling individual members of our team to divide complex cases into different areas of expertise can enhance productivity and overall satisfaction and success for our clients.

A team-based approach allows us to delegate the right tasks to the right people by allocating resources more efficiently and saving money for our clients. Delegating tasks to the most appropriate team member can reduce the need to charge high attorney hourly rates to clients. Clients can still get high-quality legal representation by having a multi-level team approach without incurring unnecessary expenses. There is no need for an attorney to draft a petition, for example, when a law clerk or paralegal can do so under the supervision of an attorney at a reduced rate.

It is important to note that if a non-attorney is participating in your case by drafting documents, researching, organizing files, or conducting discovery, an attorney will review and revise as needed, ensuring accuracy.

Having multiple team members working on a case provides flexibility for all parties. The team knows every aspect of the case when using the team approach. This is useful because if someone working on the case is out of town, the other team members can take control. From a client perspective, if you have limited availability and an attorney is unavailable to meet at a time that fits your schedule, a law clerk can meet with you and still know all the information regarding your case at a reduced rate.

When working on a case, our firm usually has a partner attorney supervising the entire project. However, we typically allow our associate attorney to do as much as possible and take the lead on a case. If a case is more complex, we may have two partners supervising and helping. Our firm has law clerks and paralegals who will often take on the documentation, scheduling, research, gathering and organizing information, and the case filing process, with their primary focus being observation and learning. However, all team members will meet with clients and each other to discuss strategy, attend court, and help solve problems.

Let’s get to know our team. Erin M. Wilson oversees the firm and frequently works as an appointed Guardian ad Litem, Child representative, Parenting Coordinator, and Mediator. Our partner, Deborah D. Lollis, is our managing litigation partner who supervises the litigation cases. We have many highly trained and skilled associates to represent all family law cases, Emily, Anna, and Britney. Our law clerks and paralegal help in multiple aspects of all cases and keep costs low for the client. Our administrative team ensures every client and family who works with us receives the assistance they deserve.

All of us work together to finalize your matter. We are a team. You can rely on any one of us to help you at any given time and produce the best outcome in your case. What makes our firm so unique is that we have a variety of attorneys, law clerks, paralegals, and supporting staff who all make dedicated contributions to each of our cases. Each of them brings unique ideas and strengths to our team.

Problem-solving in family law is unique, difficult, and complex.
